Crews work to repair water main break in South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Crews are working to repair the road along South Street, near 4th Street, after a messy water main break.

The Philadelphia Water Department says a 10-inch water main ruptured over the weekend, right outside the South Street institution "Jim's Steaks."

Traffic is closed on South Street, between Leithgow and 4th streets, due to the break.

Water service was cut off to dozens of customers but has now been restored.
